Flaky app, unreliable reader, and WHY NO IPAD VERSION?

Not sure what else I need to add beyond the title of the review,
but I suppose I can add some more. I have both a square reader and the paypal reader. (unlike many reviewers, i did get my here reader)

Except: the square reader works (most of the time) the here reader rarely works.
The vaunted "scan an image of the card" rarely works. (maybe one in 10 times? ) (and that presumes you can get the app to acknowledge the boundaries of the card (you put the credit card down on a surface, hold your iphone/ipad with the camera pointing at the card: then you have to line up the edges of the card with some targets, and the app is supposed to recognize the edge of the card and scan the card numbers and expiry date. Hardly EVER works, even on a brand new card (without the paint rubbed off)

But really, my biggest frustration is the crappy app. I have an iPad and an iPhone: Squares app works universally, and works WELL on the iPad... the paypal app is iPhone only, and looks like crap when scaled up into the ipad screen.
